April 2026 PPM Ratings

WXYT notches a big gain, extending its lead. WNIC also sees a gain, maintaining itself as the top music station in the market. WOMC held steady at #3. WMXD and WYCD flipped spots and are #4 and #5 respectively. WWJ, remarkably, is a somewhat strong #6. WCSX leapfrogged both WRIF and WJLB for #7. WKQI lost ground and is 10th place.

Otherwise notable: 98.7 remains steady, WLLZ sees a small gain. I do think iHeart should get more from that frequency. K-Love loses nearly a full point of share.

Cumulus stations continue to be unrated owing to their dispute with Nielsen.

What strikes me about this month's report is how poorly WHCJ-FM is doing. We've seen an uptick in classical music listening, especially in the western part of the U.S. around Christmastime, but that appears to have had no effect on WHCJ's listenership numbers.

I've wondered about that as well. I guess Classical Fans are turning to streaming for their fix.
