1939: Actor David Birney (Bridget Loves Bernie) is born in Washington, D.C.

1939: Actor Lee Majors (The Big Valley, Owen Marshall: Counselor at Law, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Fall Guy) is born (as Harvey Lee Yeary) in Wyandotte, Michigan.

1947: Actress Blair Brown (The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd) is born in Washington, D.C.

1949: Actress Joyce DeWitt (Three’s Company) is born in Wheeling, West Virginia.

1953: KTYL-TV (channel 12, later KVAR, KTAR-TV, now KPNX) signs on in Mesa (Phoenix), Arizona.

1960: Actress Valerie Bertinelli (One Day at a Time) is born in Wilmington, Delaware.

1961: Comedian/actor George Lopez is born in Mission Hills, California.

1995: Sportscaster Howard Cosell dies of a heart embolism in New York City, aged 77.

(Just a little featurette I hope to do as time permits. It’s an entirely random selection based on a quick Net search, and is not meant to be comprehensive.
