April PPMs

When did we start selling 6+? Mix won 25-54 and KOOL wasn't even in the top 5 where it matters.

KOOL seems to be in the top 5 if you exclude a Spanish language non-com from the mix.

So where was Eva?

Where was My 1039 (featuring the Dave Pratt in the Morning BBQ)?

How did Hot not hiring local jocks fare?

If we're going to argue over the relative success or failure of KOOL in its target demo, then how did they do against their more or less direct competitors?

which is interesting, because Power didn't go down, they went up a little.

One doesn't affect another... stations share with multiple stations in PPM, it's not like the diary. KNRJ listeners use KZON, KZZP, KMVA, KKFR, and even Eva and Mega...

KEXX 1.3

Shouldn't this station be showing some signs of growth by now. That had a higher share than that with the alt format before Pratt was brought on board. What is sad is that the music selection is pretty close to when the Peak first launched and I loved that station. Yet, I can't bring myself to listen to this station. Not sure if it has to do with Pratt being there, the stupid "My" name for that format or the fact that they killed our only alternative station here, as stale as it was. My prediction, Pratt will be gone before the end of the year and they will go music intensive in the am. If that doesn't work there will be a major musical shift/adjustment next year.

The 25-54 has doubled since the change...

That may be, but I would imagine they were at the very bottom of that demo with the old format. Especially since their target demo was 18-34. So where do they rank now in 25-54 overall? Have they had improvements in the demo every trend since the switch or are they stagnant?

KKNT slips into the netherworld of not enough listeners to even register.....

BTW, I flipped to Hugh Hewitt today, the advertiser was a biblical group that gives you the answers to explain Noah's Ark, the "fact" that the earth is 6000 years old, and the truth about Adam and Eve.

In other words....they have transcended beyond sleazebag gold salesmen and MLM scams.....now its biblical! ;D

The PPM only releases to the public 6+ numbers fot stations that pay to subscribe to ARB. No pay... No Say... No See. These new rankings are worthless to non subscribers. Paying customers get to see the whole picture including non arbitron subscribing rankings. I'm not sure if Salem's KKNT (the worst call letters in history) is an ARB paying customer. Welcome to the 21st century.

It's a little fuzzy, but you can always get it in.
