A quick glance at the numbers indicated little of interest. Large--but not particularly unusual--increases for WDAS-FM and WMMR, and a large-ish decline--again not particularly unusual--for WMGK. The book also saw rather large drops for BEN-FM (4.2 - 4.0 - 2.9) and WPPZ (3.4 - 3.7 - 2.9). But like I said, it was just a quick glance so maybe I glossed over something.

If you combine WIP’s radio rating (which is a big increase over last month) and their streaming number they would be rated #1! And surprisingly (to me) WPHT’s combined rating would rank them around #10, right below WHYY and WUSL.

That would be good if the stream was a simulcast of the station. It is not, and runs separate stopsets which disqualify it.

This is one of those books that comes to mind when someone says, "Stop talking about 6+ numbers because they're useless." I tend to think they have to be at least somewhat instructive. For instance, WBEN saw a pretty big drop in 6+ and now we learn that they also dropped from 3rd to 10th place in the 25-54 demo, from 5th to 9th in 18-34, and from 5th to 10th in 18-49.

That’s a massive drop in listenership so I have to wonder where these people went. Doesn’t seem like WOGL is setting the world on fire and since WMGK dropped as well my guess is that many of them went to MMR. It seems highly doubtful that Ben listeners suddenly switch over to DAS.

I'm not a WDAS listener but horrid Philly radio outside of morning drive and WIP sent me surfing and when I landed on 105.3 the great music prevented me from changing it.
