April Warnecke Hours

I've noticed over the past week that Kylee Cruz has been reporting weather on weekday Good Morning Arizona from 4:30 to 5:00am. April Warnecke comes in at 5:00 and (I assume) stays for the rest of the show/until 10:00.

In addition, for the last two years, it seemed that April was absent and had a replacement at least one day per week. This hasn't happened much over the last 6 months.

I wonder did April receive a change in her contract? If so, good for her. But I feel sorry for Javier Soto, Tess Rafols and Gina Maravilla who have to work all 5.5 hours.
 
I don't know specifically about the 4:30am to 5am time period. However, two years ago, there was some sort of medical issue with her son. At the time, it was reported here that the son was doing fine. I wonder if the medical issue has flared up again. I know that April is a private person and would not reveal this on air, but when she is gone on Thursday and Friday, I become concerned about her son.

And Kim Quintero was doing the weather this morning (at least after 7am).

I did notice that Meredith (KTVK/KPHO) has a job posting for a Part-Time Weather Anchor, presumably for fill-in work when others are off. I was wondering why they didn't use Kylie in this position.
 
For the week of October 10-14 April started at 4:30 on 3 days, Kylee handled the other 2 days. Probably because Kylee had to fill in for vacationing Tess and Gina.
