Hello dues,
I just got a new AOR8200bMark3 scanner (My other one broke) and i also have an original AOR8200b (Mark 1) and on that on all i see is "PLL ERROR" no matter what i do and NO sound (No hash, etc) The signal meter is FULL SCALE even with no antenna......
Anyone know how to reset this?? (A hard reset)
Anyway,
I love these AOR 8200's (.1Meg to 3000Megs) but there are several things i dislike about MarkIII
1) The default modes are changed (.53mhz to 1.7mhz is set to WAM instead of AM)
2) 144mhz to 148mhz are set in 12.5kc steps instead of 10.0kc like they are supposed to be.
3) Everything is OFF FREQUENCY (When i hit AFT i can see this)
And this MarkIIIb i just got has some issues i dont like
1) The switch to release the battery door is loose
2) The FM broadcast band is OFF FREQUENCY (Stuff sounds like crap unless i goto 93.750 (instead of 93.700) for example)
I may return it for an exchange i dunno....... I just fixed the POWER SAVE problem it was having. (It was in POWER SAVE mode when i took it out of the box and not doing very well (Its supposed to be set to OFF by default on power save (The other two were (The book even says its OFF by default))))
Ah well.........
