Arbitrend- ugh for Renda

Gator is 17th 25-54 and WKQL just had one of their worst months since debut (though they move up 0.1- they drop off their best month next trend, which will be the full summer book). Please don't pull out the 12+ numbers to make yourself feel better- you can't sell 12+.

Sorry, girls.

That's what happens when you economize and try to play out of your league. Until these folks fix their programming (on KOOL especially. Not so much on Gator) they will never see the dollars roll in. KOOL's only claim to fame is that they are trying to make listeners believe that what they are doing on the
air is a continuation of the success that came from COOL 96.9

Sorry, not even close.

On the other side of the coin, WEJZ has a great trend and a super month. They could easily have a fabulous summer book with what they've racked up so far.

Go, Ed!

My new Spell/Punctuation Check biz is pretty slow, so I will weigh in on this thread.

There is no joy at COX JAX tonite, except with WOKV. Martha Stewart may be telling some folks real soon that "They don't fit in!"

Arthur Crofton is the big winner for Renda. His last month only, 25 to 54 is HUGE!!! The rest of WEJZs's numbers look great as well! Extract that same last month and Gator might as well be back on the world's most famous beach. WKQL , oh please! See motherscratcher's post.

Clear Channell is the overall winner. WQIK remains the bread winner, Planet is closing in on FYV, the rumors about WROOs death were greatly exagerated and KISS stays right behind WAPE 18 to 34!

One month away from the book! Any predictions?

Cox's WJGL appears solid in all target demos. At least give Bob Neil one win
<LOL>

Wait a minute, OC. You mean the 12+ numbers were even
worse than 25-54 for the Gator and WKQL. How could that
be??? Just when things seemed to be turning around, too.
Should Renda cover up the Kool sign along with the
Gator? And the big question, if Renda can't sell 12+
numbers, how can they sell dismal 25+ numbers? I still
thought we had a chance for a fight to the finish
against CC. Could this be a "sign" that things aren't
going so well? Thanks, in advance for calling me a
girl. How'd you know I had that operation? Wait til
Mburg and the good gang on this board see these numbers.
I demand a recount.

Re: Arbitrend

It seems to me that you all did not see my last post from yesterday with some of the predictions and seems to me that a lot of them were dead on for Phase II and seems that no one is completmenting me on that. If you did not see here it is again.

1. WGNE will over top WKQL in numbers but will give WROO a fight. (+++)
2. WQIK will still be a top 5 station look for WOKV to be number 1 (+++)
3. WEJZ will hold strong at number 3 or 4. (+++)
4. WROO will tank in the ratings. (---)
5. WJGL will be in the top ten but could slip a couple of slots (+/-)
6. WPLA and WFKS will go up for sure (+++)
7. WAPE will hold top over WFKS (+++)
8. WFYV could drop or go up but I am flat about this one. (+++)

Those plus signs mean I was right
Those minus signs mean I was dead wrong
the plus/minus sign means flat or above or down the other way, you decide.

ugh for Renda

12+ actually look better- it's just that no revenue is based on selling 12+ numbers.

It's early in the battle but Renda is not off to a stellar start.

Arbitrends

and if you've ever really read any of my past posts, you'll know I could care less about predictions or being/wrong about them. Anybody can predict ratings and just an ounce of common sense can help you come to the same conclusions as a dozen others who have insight into your market. Big deal.

Re: Arbitrend

I will give Bobby a thumbs up on the Trend, but August only was off 2 and a half shares 25-54. He better hope for a big September to offset that!

I think you are misstaken. 25-54 WKQL is up in am drive, middays and down a little in pm drive

It makes one wonder why they hired Tom Murphy. To stifle his personality is just a disgrace. No longer "The World Famous".. he's simply an inserted voice.
Sure EJZ had a super month.. they have PERSONALITIES who attract the listener.
Until KOOL finds a GOOD blend of music and lets Tom BE "The World Famous".. we won't see much difference in future trends either.

If you look at the final month of the trend, they're off significantly.

For the sake of argument, let's go ahead and give Bob Neil a win. Combine that with the other losses and it makes for a pretty weak average. If they were a football team they wouldn't make the playoffs!

Arbitrend

I stand by my previous post. Their rankings and their ratings came from Arbitron, not from me.
