Arbitron killing radio?

Every few years there's a call for another ratings service. Been a long time since there was one. Is this because of the relationships with the larger companies and the ratings service? The large companies seem to be the only ones that can afford the service anyway. And as in any good business situation, you superserve your best clients, right? Seems to me this was the same kind of situation with the larger companies controlling concerts/venues as well. Whats the answer moving forward? Radio surely doesnt seem to have gotten better over the last decade or so. (Other than billing for the big broadcasters.) How does this get better? Just a new discussion.......
