Top:
1. WQUE (bullcrap politically correct Chocolate City adjustments still)
2. WWL (exodus of listeners with Katrina burnout)
3. WNOE (notice the number of pickup trucks on the streets these days)
4. WLMG (one refuge for adults with Katrina burnout)
5. WTIX (the other refuge for them)

Eminent Format Changes:
Martini
Diva
Rockin' Country

Just my $0.02 from analyzing the market in its current state. Feel free to add your two cents.

i like tix fm but #5??
1.98.5 wyld
2.wnoe
3. majic 101.9
4.b97
5. wque

Jeez.. Hum ... Let me think and see into the crystal ball.....

1- WWL AM/FM (people still tuning in wanting answers to Katrina land)
2- WNOE (agree with the pickups)
3- WYLD FM (I figure the older african americans are back, or those with money at least)
4- WKBU (KKND exodus here as it's only one playing newer music plus W and J still win here)
5- WLMG (Offices in Jeff Parish keep this high)

Next 5 up would be In no order- WTIX, KMEZ, WEZB, WQUE, and possibly WRNO or WPRF or WYLD- AM

You can feed to Katrina B/S politically correctness, but IMO, the QUE listener was the one who resettled in Houston and Atlanta and either don't plans on coming back, or will after a few years.. QUEs top number days are gone..

Look for KHEV to be a dark horse considering it's performance elsewhere but trend is 104 formats aimed for NOLA do great everywheres except NOLA.

Predict Bottom rung most of the Citadel Cluster (WDVW,KKND,WTMI) with a end of year format change for one of them (My guess is WDVW as other 2 are under a year in format)

Waiting for who's gonna flip active or alternative considering KKND pre-Katrina was half-pack... Hard rock does good in the market I think exists right now (considering more of the rebuilding currently is either young and white or young and hispanic.. and hispanic ethnic cities seem to have higher than normal rated new rock stations)

I think by next census in 2010, look for one of the FMs to be possible regional mexican or other hispanic format like WTMI or KNOU? (NOLA is working on it's first hispanic OTA TV station currently)

What was the 'official' reason why the release was pushed back two weeks? Could it be to rebalance, from diaries being top heavy to on side? Format changes...can't see Citadel flipping 3 of their 4 properties. Actually, been hearing Martini more in businesses. They have to be switching because of the lame 200 songs Magic plays over & over & over. Guess the pd there didn't learn from Kool.

ok i forgot to add 870..

so..
1 wwl am and fm
2.wyld
3.wnoe
4.majic 101.9
5.b97..

bottom feeders..
92.3 dead last fm
106.7..quickly burned out..
99.5 wrno..zzzzzzzz
104.1..audience is in houston
all the other am stations..especially 1350..maybe ranked last..if ranked at all.
and whatever that is on 690..

Martini and Rocking country are both less than a year old roughly... They haven't had time to grow wings are be really fine tuned enough So I agree on no movement possibly yet on Martini, Rocking country is probably gonna need some fine tuning or even going with a syndicated network that would probably be better researched
http://www.radio-info.com/smf/index.php/topic,44214.0.html (Someone else doing a rocking country format as a network)

Diva's been under performing for that stick pre Katrina and probably will be post IMO.... and being on air almost 2 years.. needs to (blank) or get off the pot.... You can tell they are tweaking it though

What a surprise! The PD of Magic happens to be the same dolt who allegedly programmed KOOL: Andy "All I know is the same 200 songs over and over" Holt. What a worthless individual.

Re: Predictions Xmtr Guy

Y'all can be sure that reports of Diva's demise are greatly exaggerated. In fact, reports of Citadel's demise are also exaggerated. Despite what you may have heard, or been told, ratings are not the end all be all... $$$ is.

What formats do you know of that carry prime demos for both men and women? Thinking outside the box has got you all muddled in your thinking.

Also, this thread has hundreds of views, and only a dozen replies,.. c'mon.

i know of no straight men that listen to diva..which is an actual gay radio station..there is a gay guy where i work. he loves it.. ::)

2 ways this could go:

If posters on this board got books, the numbers will look like this:

1- WTIX FM
2- WTIX-FM
3- WTIX-FM
4- everyone else

If REAL people got books, it'll look like this:

1-WWL-AM/FM
2-WNOE-FM
3-WYLD-FM
4-Bayou
5-Q93

They did rate, they are 18th down a little.. but got beat by KLRZ-FM (100.3) and WIST (690A)

go read radio and records... finally got some BR stations in the mix

Why no WSMB 1350 am air america ratings?

I believe Air America's financial troubles speaks for itself....and I'm NOT interested in turning this ratings discussion into a political debate.
