arbitron numbers

well next week, arbitron numbers for spring 2010 will be out. any predictions from you guys? lots of changes with formats, and people. what do you think..

i dont know about wilk.. i like webster, but now since kevin lynn is gone the morning has nancy, joe thomas and webster, along with rusty fender, and joe with the weather.. it is local, but its like a copy cat of imus on the talker with his morning crew.. roger might be right with froggy and magic 93. but ya never know with ratings. depends where the books go, and even then its a toss up. thanks for your input guys.. the cowboy

Rock 107 is kind of the wildcard here. Is there a curiosity bump or does is it go down due to Webster? I'd imagine Rock's book changes more significantly in the summer before stabilizing over the fall but I'm intrigued to see what happens here...especially since Rock usually goes up in the spring/summer.

I don't know about Froggy. They're still in transition phase since Doc left. Is the new morning and afternoon show really that good?

you might be right R-M..the only other country station that might have some numbers is jr 93-7, but the p.d. at jr doesnt know country music, and to put togeather a winning music format you have to know the music. even so hes better then the last p.d. mark stevens. they may get some numbers no matter what, because this market likes country.

Less controversy and little election interest, I think WILK will go down. Also remember Spring and Fall are Total Survey books so the Class A's take hits.
12+
KRZ
Magic
WILK
Froggy
Rock 107

It makes me think. Did Entercom pay to get their stations in the top three? A big change has to happen with WKRZ. They need a new morning show with younger people. They need a new afternoon show with a youger jock. They need a dance show on Saturday nights. WKRZ needs change.

1. WGGY
2. WKRZ
3. WILK
4. WMGS
5. WBSX

But Roger, they were number one. That's not usually a catalyst for change. Trust me, I know, changing morning shows is a bitch and Jeff Walker is an institution who (love him or hate him) should be on KRZ until he's dead in the ground. Now, as for that weekend oldies show, that can hit the road.

Let's Get Real...

1. JR did horrendous. Is it an anomoly or is it time for the semi-annual flipping of this station to something else?

2. WICK didn't even chart? Yikes! I know why they went with Fox Sports but this seems to be kind of a bust until they put some money into it.

ill never understand ratings. when warm was the big gun back in the good olds days of warmland, everyone said they were paying off the rating guys.. as far as wick and jr, wick never did anything with the numbers, and jr has a pd that doesnt understand country music. jr did better when jules and then jim dorman and, jess wright were in charge. after that crew left and mark stevens took over, jr fell apart. those are my thoughts, but again radio has changed so much it could be a number of things.. what do you think? the cowboy
