Arbitron Violation?

Just wondering.....

If a national or syndicated show mentions Arbitron, could there be trouble?

Case in point: ESPN Radio's "Game Night" host opens the hour with his quasi-witty statements including, and I'm paraphrasing here, "tops on your Arbitron fill-out sheet".

Didn't ESPN's Dan Patrick do something similar a couple of years ago?
______________

When? FWIW, we'er at the one time of the year when Arbitron isn't
surveying radio stations. Last day of the fall book was 12/14;
Winter book doesn't begin until 1/5....

While I'm sure some stink could be made about the comment, if it
happened during the hiatus, it may not be a big issue.
Edited by Ed_Walker on 01/01/06 12:08 AM.

I am unclear of a rule on that. Here in the Bay Area, a station on it's promo will say "Arbitron rated number one."

Is that ok?
