don't forget about Froggy and the huge shake up there, both in the morning and afternoon

According to Arbitron website the book only goes to March 31st. The Webster and Kevin Lynn issue won't show up for months.

Hi Folks, I have not been in NEPA for some time. What is the scoop on Webster and Mr. Lynn? What happened?

Thanks

Mr. Webster opened the door and left; Mr. Lynn had the door opened for him.

Webster resigned from Rock 107 on March 30 and started on WILK on April 12 as part of the "Morning News with Webster and Nancy."

Either the same day or the day after Webster resigned, Kevin Lynn was let go from WILK.

The morning show on Rock 107 has become the "Big Fancy Morning Show" with Daniels, Prospector and Duffy (formerly Psycho Mike from KRZ).

As of April 22, Rock 107 is still running liners that say "Daniels & Webster"...

looks like a station that everyone has counted out... actually has a pulse... WSJR (JR) Country station, pulled a 3.3... biggest # in a while for those guys. rumor is they're going to ... ADD airstaff to the afternoons? can anyone confirm that... people actually HIRING DJS!?

Also you'll see that the Allentown country station showed up in the book. Which just means that the books mainly fell in luzerne county where JR's transmitter is. Yes WGGY had some major changes but something tells me they'll rebound. I dunno about adding to the afternoons, is Froggy's afternoon guy really any good?

Cool had its best ratings in over 5 years in this book (both 12+ and 25 to 54)...the Classic Hits/Oldies format (all stations combined) had its best numbers in over 5 years and close to its best ever.

They are a little slow there and will get around it it by summer

I think that's intentional and it's even sadder than "a little slow".

I think it's about Arbitron.

If someone turns in a diary that says Webster but they forget to write down WILK, WILK would still get the credit because Webster is on WILK.

But if Rock107 continues to air Webster promotional announcements and someone turns in a diary that says Webster, 107 can make a claim for that listener. So what if they sound like inattentive idiots to listeners while hoping for a one in ten thousand chance that that might happen? Inattentive idiocy isn't breaking new ground there.

They could only make that "claim" if they went and saw it in a diary. Since so few diaries contain talent names, that's unlikely.

Otherwise, Arbitron determines which station a particular show is on, and gives credit for any mention of the show that has no other identifier to the station where the show currently resides.

There is a procedure for syndicated shows that are on more than one signal that is listenable in a market, but that does not apply here.

Diaries are placed in multi county metros in proportion to the population of each county; if the diary returns are not proportional, weighting is used to achieve proportionality.

For Rock 107 to still be using Webster promos they are hoping for confusion by diary keepers in regards to what station they are indeed listening too. If someone simply writes down Webster, the credit would go to WILK. Arbitron uses station websites for programming information. In the case both stations lay claim to the same program then arbitron places calls to the stations. Getting credit for Webster listenership after he gone is slim to none. Webster has moved on as should everyone else.

They can file an action with the rating company maybe
