Are "99.1 The Game"'s days numbered?

Dunno how I missed this, but apparently the translator at 99.1 (W256CD Fultondale) is set to switch formats… The translator was recently sold by Shelby Broadcast Associates to Red Mountain Ventures for $200k, but in the application to transfer ownership the parent station is listed as WAGG, not WDJC-HD23.

It was picked up by the Tom Taylor newsletter, but no word on what will happen to WAGG's current translator at 100.1. The 99.1 translator just bumped up to a taller antenna location and has significantly more power, so it'll definitely benefit the gospel fans out there, but I gotta wonder what'll happen to The Game, which has a pretty active Twitter feed from what I can see. No hint of things to come on there.

99.1 is on the air with no audio, as of 2 pm today; 100.1 is still rebroadcasting WAGG.

Update: audio just returned to 99.1, must have been a technical glitch. Still doing sports talk.

I wonder if indeed Summit moves WAGG to 99.1, could WATV end up on 100.1?

Seems to me that without an FM translator, buying an AM station broadcasting at less than 1kw would be throwing good money after bad?

That said, the only really good thing about the Game is that it's now the Birmingham affiliate of the Braves' radio network.

If Summit is using 99.1 for WAGG, perhaps it's making a deal with Red Mountain Ventures to use one/some of its channels to house The Game. It could slide onto WENN 1320+100.1 without disrupting much of anything else Summit does.

I don't see Summit letting WATV have a crack at 100.1 at any price or arrangement--but I'm just typing guesses on the first part too.
