Are changes being made at radio-one houston?

Elroy Roy smith is being promoted to oversee all gospel stations. I'm curious to see what happens with the already thin staff. Praise is syndicted in the mornings as well as the nights.

Cathy Hughes, owner of Radio One, has been fighting a Performance Tax that would be levied against Radio Stations in which they will have to pay artists a fee for playing their music. I remember hearing her on Mad Hatta's Morning Show on KBXX and she said if this were to pass, then they would probably have to either make significant cuts in their Gospel Formats and even more air staff. You'd also hear less variety on the secular music stations (I don't know if that's possible with KMJQ & KBXX). This may be the reason why. Elroy Smith has a pretty good track record. I'll be anxious to see what changes are made.

Their syndicated morning show originates from here in Houston though.. right?

If it's still Yolanda Adams and Bro. Larry Jones, then yes, it is based here.
