Are Costas and Lampley live from Turin?

In these Winter Olympics, when they're in talking head mode, are NBC's Jim Lampley and Bob Costas doing those segments *live* from Turin? 8:00p et is 2:00a in Italy.

If Costas is live, I imagine he's such only in the Eastern and Central time zones.

I'm pretty sure he is LIVE in the ET/CT time zone and only in that time zone.

(We're getting taped delayed primetime coverage on the CBC starting at 6pm Local Time, 7pm AT. Unlike Costas who is in Turino, Brian Williams flew back to Toronto after the Opening Ceremonies and is doing his hosting duties here in Canada)<P ID="signature">______________

That also means Terry Leibel is handling the morning show from home base as well. Understandable, considering the CBC's budget, but still a downer after they built a nice studio at that school in Sydney.

It gets me to thinking of where CTV might place their anchor studio for Vancouver 2010. Canada Place? Plaza of Nations? Stanley Park? An add-on to their existing facility? Anything with a northerly view of the harbor and/or the nearby mountains is a prime candidate.

Re: Are Costas and Lampley going to do the next Olympics?

Will Costas and Lampley do Beijing 2008? Vancouver 2010? London 2012? Do we know yet? They are great.
