But what did you mean by hoping it was still there when he got back? Are you talking about it being sent to an impound lot if Tom was gone for more than a certain length of time? I realize that that's not what this thread is about, but I was curious...thanks for indulging me. :)

Not necessarily going to an impound lot but getting stolen. Thieves know that long-term parking is for people who plan to be away for awhile. The longer a car is parked anywhere without being moved, the more likely it is to get stolen. Thieves watch this stuff. That's all I'm saying.
