Just in my own little part of the world I have found that listings of HD radio stations are almost completely erroneous. I don't know if it is because HD broadcasts come and go quickly or what but the last time I checked more than 70% of listings were wrong with regard to the actual existence or format.

It depends on the stations. In the DFW market, unlike most of the HD2 stations owned & operated by Clear Channel, "Old School Edge" on KDGE 102.1 HD2 does not stream online. Don't ask me why that is, I'm just as puzzled.

There is no point programming an HD2 if it doesn't stream because no one's going to hear the HD2.

Not quite true. A lot of new cars have HD radio built-in. If the public is listening at all it is probably through these mobile receivers.
