Are New Songs Added Faster?

Are new songs added faster to the AC format? I just heard today on the AC station I was listening to have a sweep saying "New Music" then playing Celo's "Forget You". I would figure that for a CHR station but a AC.

That song has been out for awhile now. If anything AC waited longer than normal to add this song. Now that they added it, they will still be playing it months after it's off CHR.

And this is actually a good song, musically.

The station I like plays "Love Train" by the O'Jays, which is quite similar.

I think any AC station that uses "New Music" sweepers is probably more cutting-edge

Well they aren't that cutting-edge as you put it. As they still are playing AC songs from the 80s, 90s, and some 70s, but you can notice more 00s. Im just surprised by this as CBS also owns the sister Hot AC station in the market.
