ARE SCA's STILL ALIVE AND WELL?

The subcarriers that stations once used to do storecasting with...are any still in use? I know North Texas Radio for the Blind still uses KERA's for their broadcasts, but any others in use for anything? I have a home-built tuner to check this with, but it's put away somewhere, and I haven't used it in quite a long while. I'd guess that most stores (and Sonic, and others) are either pulling their music from the internet, or just use long-playing tapes or hard drives these days.

Many are used for data, like traffic reports linked to GPS systems, or for narrowcasting like Radio Tehran in LA. Plenty of applications exist, although the original use, background music, is almost all satellite delivered today.

RDS / RDBS is another form of data transmission over an SCA.

Last I heard 97.1 still has one for those Microsoft watches that came out (briefly) several years ago that had news/whatever data on them.
