ARE THE HIGH-PRICED MORNING SHOWS THE NEXT TO GO?

There are a number of local morning shows with multiple cast members. The San Diego showed CC paring away at those.

I guess if a big show clears x dollars after expenses, a cheaper show that brings in less money may clear the same amount of profit... maybe more. Of course the listener will probably get an inferior product... but that won't show up in the spreadsheet.

It seems to me a high-priced broadcaster would get out there and hit the pavement looking for additional sponsors so they could retain that high-dollar salary in these tough economic times. Are they going rely on some half-witted sales staff?

You've never been in sales, have you. Please review the episode of WKRP where Andy, the PD, takes to the streets to do Herb, the sales manager's, job.

I said the High-priced broadcasters that are "celebrities" pounding the pavement. Not a program director.

JB and Sandy signed a 5-year extension within the last year or so. Station put out a news release on it. So ... unless they're ready to cough up some serious cash, they're not going anywhere.
