Are the Rumors True Chattanooga?

Gotta be a joke. CC couldn't even think up something this stupid.

They played that about 2:00, as well. CC must have lots of extra cash just laying around.
They had to spend millions on this get this station bought and upgraded... whew.

In small doses the music is slightly enjoyable. Very small doses. Like a .01 or less.

"Five years in the making and it only took us five minutes to ruin this frequency"

I think it's just another stunt and they are having fun stirring up the message boards and rumours. My bet is still that the real format will be some form of AC or CHR. (mainstream AC, Hot AC, Rhythmic AC, CHR, rhythmic CHR, etc.) I also wouldn't count out another news/talk FM as being a distant possibility. Clear Channel could easily move their big syndicated talkers over from Citadel's WGOW and give them a run for the money. (News/Talk would be the only male format that I could really see since it could be sold with sister stations US101, The Legend, and Rock 105, without stealing listeners from them.

But, personally, I think that is a long shot. I'm still thinking it will be a female targeted format with some form of AC or CHR.

The legal ID for Boogie 103.7 (and a few other Chattanooga IDs) that I recorded this weekend are up on tophour.com. This is obviously a stunt, and it will be interesting to see what Clear Channel ultimately decides to do with the station. I did hear one liner from the same voiceover guy who did the legal ID that said, "What did you expect, another country station?", which I found amusing since Clear Channel already has two country formats on in the market.

For what it's worth, the signal came through for 103.7 pretty well during my travels through Chattanooga, both in-car and via the mini boombox I had with me. The audio processing sounded terrible (and I'm not good at differentiating audio settings in most cases), but I figure that Clear Channel will get that fixed in time for when the real format launch takes place.
