I don't think so. They are a reaction to variety. They have no person with a name, just some promotions and no spots until LABOR DAY.
I think that every song except one song an hour would be acceptable as an oldie though they play fifties every hour which is not played on oldies stations.
Maybe they can be described as "Variety Oldies.
