True, the players have gotten more regional. Who'd benefit? Most likely WEZN, WEBE, WKCI & WPLR. Who'd lose out? Local AMs that either identify with only one city (WICC, WELI) or smaller signals (WQUN and, well, the others don't show up anyway!). WYBC-FM would not gain from the Bridgeport combination, either. Hartford FMs like WHCN or WWYZ would get a diluted share, too. What might have been unthinkable a short time ago may make a bit more sense now, but don't hold your breath.
