Thank you for taking a respectable and local radio company and ruining it. What the previous team built in 2 years you dismantled in 3 months. I know what the buzz is on the streets and I laugh everyday with my team with the changes youve made. Hey guys this isnt NY or Philly welcome to South Jersey. Ouch, how much money did you lose this month ??? Good luck with the Top 40 we dont have one of those yet. How many more clients will jump ship till you take your ball and go home. Thanks again for driving your listeners from 102.7 JSE to ZXL when you take JSE off July 4th weekend. Now your stuck with an Old Classic Hits KOOL 98.3 and old Classic Rock 103.7 The Shark (welcome back Bob and Tom to mornings) and kiddie station 102.7 (Power) with Kidd Kraddick (The Hick show from Dallas). Actually Jersey does not have too many CHR's Atlantic City has no CHR neither does Cape May. WAYV is Hot A/C they aren't Adult CHR they dont play artists like Pitbull and Akon along with artists such as Fall Out Boy, Daughtry, etc. Also, North West Jersey, Sussex County doesn't have a CHR either. B 104 from Allentown doesn't come in, KRZ doesn't come in well, Z100 is killed once you leave West Milford, K104's signal only goes into Vernon.

There is total CHR overkill in New Jersey. I don't know where you people think for a second that there isn't.

OK, so maybe there isn't an in-market CHR in North Jersey ... but you get Z-100, KTU, and 92.3 Now just perfect over there, and they cover every possible Top 40 taste out there.

In Central Jersey, many of those stations come in excellent as well ... then there's Philly stations like Q 102 and Wired 96.5 with excellent signals, along with AC's 99.3 Kiss FM and in-market Hit 106.

In South Jersey, you've got Kiss and the Philly stations loud and clear.

That brings me to the so-called "Hot ACs": WPLJ, WPST, WJLK, WAYV, and WSJO to name a few. Apparently there's a lot of people out there who haven't listened to them lately, and still think they're doing "Greatest Hits of the '80s, '90s, & Today". Well, I have listened to all of these stations, and I can say with absolute certainty that the Hot AC format is dead. Every station in this group is more accurately defined as an Adult CHR. They play almost everything you can find on a Top 40 station ... the only place where they draw the line is straight up hip-hop, like Young Money, Pitbull or Lil Jon. Other than that: Jason Derulo, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Akon, Miley Cyrus, Ke$ha, Black Eyed Peas, Fall Out Boy, Lady Gaga, and myriad other acts which may have been deemed "too immature" just a few years ago are now front and center on the playlists of each of these stations.

I don't see how anyone could think for a second that there is a CHR shortage anywhere in New Jersey. When you add up all the Top 40, Soft Rock, and Classic Rock station there are on the dial, it leaves little room for anything else. I know I'm far from alone in feeling completely alienated by the lack of options on the AM/FM dials. There are plenty of major shortages all over, including (but not limited to) Modern/Alternative Rock and Talk ... for the latter, we need something with a bit more substance than what NJ 101.5 has de-evolved into. After Gearhart, the station just gets painful to listen to. It's dominated by too much frivolous fluff these days, which could have something to do with a sense of contentment with state government by the personalities. At least when Tommy G was on, he talked about Atlantic City and what can be done to revive it - no one from any of the other shows ever brings up AC.

No technically there is an in market for North Jersey Z-100 which is licenses to Newark. But in Sussex, & Warren Counties there is no CHR. Once you get out of West Milford on Rt. 23, you lose Z-100, K104 is really spotty, B104 barely comes in same with KRZ. Max 106.3 used to be CHR now they're Hot A/C

Let me count the number of stations I can hear Lady Gaga on: 88.9, 92.3, 92.9 (Trenton pirate), 93.7, 94.3, 94.5, 95.1, 95.5, 96.3, 96.5, 98.3, 99.5, 100.1, 100.3, 100.7, 101.1, 102.1, 102.7, 103.5, 104.1, 104.9, 106.1, 106.3/5, 106.7. That's 24 stations. Replace Lady Gaga with many other CHR/Hot AC artists like Katy Perry or Ke$ha or Jason Derulo, you'll get roughly the same number of stations.

Now for another place with an oversaturated dial: Bridgeport, CT between the NYC, Hartford, and Long Island markets, here are the stations you can hear Lady Gaga on: 92.3, 94.3, 95.5, 95.7, 96.1/98.3, 96.3, 96.5, 97.5, 99.9, 100.3, 101.3, 101.7, 102.7, 103.5, 105.3, 106.1, 106.7. Only 17 stations playing Lady Gaga or similar Hot AC artists.

According to Radio-Locator, there are more FM stations with at least a 40 dBu signal in Bridgeport, CT than in Bordentown, NJ. Additionally, in Bridgeport, there are 4 AC stations that won't touch Lady Gaga songs: 96.7 The Coast, 102.5 WBAZ, Lite 100.5, and WEBE 108.

It's obvious that we don't need yet another crappy Hot AC/CHR station in NJ.

Out of curiosity I googled Kid K and checked out the websight...yawn ...more boring too many people in the room vanilla morning zoo stuff...yawn...If 102.7 is going to have a rythmic lean why pick this show???

I forgot Arbitron takes into account fans of Facebook pages when they issue ratings. Oh wait, they don't.

FYI...

Morning Edge has 419 fans, and they have 40,000 + less watts. But when it comes to actual listeners, that means dick.

That's my point. A morning show with 1/10 of the signal as ZXL, only has 70 less fans on their Facebook page.

Facebook fans pages don't equal numbers, in fact, they don't mean anything. All that means is that people found them on Facebook and joined their fan page.
