Well, hello November. The time when heads traditionally roll. Whose will they be and where?? It's time to get those airchecks prepared! Any thoughts??
 
You can ruin someone's life at any time of the year. And November terminations spare you from having to pay out Christmas bonuses (assuming that anyone out there still does that, and I wouldn't know, due to having been out of radio for several years now, myself!).
 
In my brief commercial radio career, I never got a Christmas bonus. In fact, I was lucky to get overtime pay for working Christmas.
 
That's one thing I always appreciated when I was at FM100 -- double time on all holidays. They made one feel valued, well more valued than other stations, anyway.
