Are You Serious Lazer?

I don't believe it! My eyes must be deceiving me or I must have been right all along. Did anyone see the bands Lazer has for Waterstock? Okay, like I have said before, they are supposed to be a rock station and they have bands like Cinderella and Poison? Wow! Good line-up Lazer....good line-up. These bands simply suck now days and I don't see how anyone would want to spend money to see them! I guess they were cheap, heck, some of them may have committed for free. I am speechless! Once again, another reason why the Lazer sucks and is digging themselves deeper in the hole.Joke of the day:How many Lazer listeners does it take to screw in a light bulb?None, because they are too busy combing their mullets, or stabbing people at the Lumbaryard!

I don't understand why Lazer or any other station in Des Moines doesn't shoot for newer up to date rock. When 107.5 used to be an "Alternative" station they did pretty well. I know that was at a time when alternative music was big, however if your supposed to be an active rocker why wouldn't you play slightly more new rock and book some bands that people actually care about in this day in age. With the new Iowa Events Center you would think that would be a good venue to book some good shows. Maybe I'm wrong.

Don't diss Lazer! It's one of the coolest rock stations ever since I lost my area's one due to a stupid "Hog" slogan change. I have listened to it once through the request line and LOVE it! The station's fine - please diss WHQG, now that station REALLY SUCKS - JMHO!P.S. By the way, I plan on listening to the WLZX Lazer 99.3 in Springfield, MA through the request line too.

Hey why don't you guys email Ryan Patrick or Andy Hall over at Lazer and I'm sure they could explain it better than anyone posting on here.

I'll tell you ONE thing that's definitely serious about Lazer... DX! :D There's nothing quite like sitting in a driveway in the southern suburbs of Minneapolis and hearing the words "KAZR-Pella/Des Moines" with a signal strong enough to bring in a stereo pilot. (And this on a night with no atmospheric weirdness apparent from the rest of the dial, and on a frequency first-adjacent to a 55 dBu signal from Mankato!)Granted, I had to park in just the right particular spots in the driveway, and 55 dBu doesn't generate THAT much adjacent-channel interference... but given the FCC calculator's estimate that KAZR would be -1 dBu at my location, still a rather exciting occurrence!</geek>
