Neat concept - "Jeopardy" meets "Millionaire" meets "Kids Say The Darndest Things"! From the mind of Mark Burnett, no less.
And if John Carpenter or Ken Jennings actually did go on, he'd take 'em all to school!
Although I'd argue with how Fox is hyping some of the shows. For example: last week, they promoted a "class clown" would commit a series first. Yup - the show's first "drop out" - left with nothing. This week, they promote another "first" - three contestants on one show. "Three times the fun", the ad says. That kinda puts a damper on the suspense factor, because you know the first two contestants aren't going to do that well.
On Thursdays, the show appears to be holding its own after its first week of exposure after "American Idol". However, it probably won't break any network records for Thursdays held by "The Simpsons" - remember when that show was running up against "Cosby" for a few years? And the first time they won in a certain demo in the ratings in 1991, the front page of the Post (was it co-owned with Fox back then? Probably to warrant this) one Saturday had Bart Simpson ont he front page with his trademark slingshot pose, and the headline "Bart Beats The Cos"!
