Mentioning KBTX's lack of cable carriage in the Conroe area made me think of this thread.
I bet most of the northeast would qualify.
A glaring example is in southeast Michigan, where Buckeye Cable in Bedford, MI (unofficially part of the Toledo metro area [and borders Toledo] but in the Detroit DMA and metro area) doesn't carry WNWO and WUPW from just across the border. Charter in Monroe, MI (north of Bedford) carries WNWO but not WUPW. WTOL, WTVG, and WGTE from Toledo are carried on both systems.
PBS edition in western Michigan: WCMW from Manistee, MI is likely one of the strongest OTA signals in Hart, MI, yet it isn't seen on Charter's system there (a smaller independent system based in nearby Mears DOES carry WCMW for PBS). Ditto for WCMU and Charter Howard City, MI.
