ARETHA FRANKLIN INTERESTED IN BEING NEW IDOL JUDGE

My father said there is a whole lot of insurance companies that won't give her coverage because of her health.

Assuming medical benefits come with the contract, I doubt she will be an Idol Judge. She is to much of a risk.

But if they want to take the risk, then I would be all for it. It could give her a couple more years to her lifespan.

She is a great musician don't get me wrong, but with all the problems Franklin has been facing, I don't see how long she would be on the air.

I personally would like to see her be an Idol Judge, but it would take a lot of lifestyle changes, the deck is stacked against her.

Not to mean or anything, I am just pointing out the facts. I am glad she is still with us after seeing many great musicians and actors bite the dust recently. :)

Aretha's also planning to walk down the aisle pretty soon, too. She could be the most active 70 year old ever... but being a judge might be a bit too much for even her, IMHO.

There you go. I suggest Idol snags Betty White (for humor), Aretha Franklin (R&B), Brenda Lee (country) and Little Richard (rock and roll-- he invented it, of course ha ha).
). That should bring in the younger viewers.

FOX needs to put Idol out to pasture.

She's interested? Well good for her.

I'm interested in hosting a Late Night talk show. Just because I'm interested, doesn't mean I'll get it.

While they're at it, why not make Betty White a Judge?

It might be wrong for me to say this but lets make Richard Simmons a Judge. He can cheer them up while the artists don't get the part, and along with Franklin he could probably transform her to being slimmer thus adding more years to her life!

I prefer Richard Simmons over Betty White.

I respect Aretha Franklin as a singer but its time to pull the plug on Idol if there are no new judges that comes into play. How about kill off idol and back X-factor if the ratings show that the Cowell Series has more viewers than Idol. People will look at Simon Cowell as a record and TV producer the same way tech people look at Steve Jobs with Apple. But if the X-Factor tanks in the Ratings then they can bring back Cowell, Piers Morgan and Randy Jackson to run Idol again.

LOL! But there is some substance to that thought. But I believe they want 3 judges with 3 different personalities. Richard Simmons would most likely be too nice, Aretha too nice and Randy too nice.
