Ariane

I just got an Ariane and installed today, it sounds great and very clean in front of my Omnia 6. But as I'm probably not ease enough with the front panel leds, I don't understand if something is normal or a bug. In the Matrix mode (with any matrix preset), the L-R low band leds are always in red and always at 0dB. That's the same with every kind of audio, stereo or mono, and at every input level. Installed version is 1.12. Any idea ?

enjoy. make sure the front end of the omnia is sufficiently slowed down. Omnia's sound awesome on their own...but that's a killer combo especially if the Omnia is out at the transmitter.

Yes the Omnia's multiband AGC is slowed and the broadband AGC is totally removed. I will also test the Ariane with my old 8200 instread of it's AGC, it could be a new life for the Orban...

I just installed an Ariane in a studio ahead of an ISDN box. The station they broadcast on is an AM station but having the Ariane in the chain made a HUGE improvement in the overall quality of their show on the air. I LOVE that box!

IMHO, most of the first generation digital processors made for darn good final limiters and SG's. That's about it. (they've come a long way since)

An Ariane would make a dramatic difference with an 8200.
