Arizona Law and Sports

embarrassed by it.

its like don imus or howard stern talking about a match-up zone or the logic behind ops vs. rbi.

maybe jason smith or vic the brick can next weigh in on whether the liberal democrats & labour can form a coalition government to keep the tories out?

No, it seems a LOT out of place.

(A recent informal poll by KSAZ in Phoenix revealed more than 90% of Valley responders felt it was unnecessary or improper for the Suns management and players to intervene their personal feelings about the illegal immigration enforcement law.)

What was out of place was for the Phoenix Suns management to make a political statement like they did. If the players wish to opine, that's fine, but for an artificial person, that is,
a corporation, to take a political stand, is very foolhardy. From their position, one could deduce that they hire illegals to serve as ushers and concessions workers.

Yeah I was underexaggerating it.

I can't think of many groups of people I'd want to be civic leaders less than politicians or professional sports players and executives.

But this isn't anything new.

Look at the NCAA bullying teams that have certain mascots they deem "offensive."

Or how they demanded the state of Georgia to change their flag if they wanted The Final Four.

People say sports and politics shouldn't mix but the fact of the matter is they've mixed for a long, long time, from these hot button social issues to taxes to fund privately used stadiums.

Personally, I think this is important for sports talk show hosts to touch on. To ignore it and instead talk about who should be in the starting five is akin to pulling down the shade on the biggest storyline surrounding the team.
