Arizona State University Bans KTAR From Campus

...with the kind of hateful crap they pump out (Ankarlo seems to have half a brain while Gaydos is stuck with the other half), is it any wonder?...

This is a disturbing development for anyone who values the constitutional protection news outlets enjoy that say the government can not silence one voice. The university is a government institution. It can not silence any one voice.

I agree with thenewz on this one, it seems as if the constitution is being ignored and treated as if it does not exist anymore.
We as American's need to wake up and take a stand against these people who seem to think their views, opinions, and personal biases
are more relevant than the Constitution of The United States!

I wonder if the constitutional argument means the bus driver could blast Howard 100 on his bus if he was a Sirius subscriber and had a portable satellite radio??

If someone drawing a state paycheck or working under a state contract blasts XXX radio station while transporting people under said state contract, isn't that giving state endorsement to one viewpoint over others with our tax dollars?

That's the argument you'd hear if the bus driver was blasting KPHX anyway... ;)

Is your employer violating your constitutional rights if he tells you not to play a radio in your workplace? I used to work at buildings under defense contracts and radios were banned entirely. FIRST AMENDMENT VIOLATION!!!!

...bullspit. Nothing's preventing anyone from listening to either KTAR or KPHX on an ASU bus with earphones. It's a stupid idea to allow a bus driver to play a radio while driving the thing in the first place; I've yet to encounter a Valley Metro driver who does...

Not banned from campus.

One bus

One complaint

And 8 days of a desperate station like KTAR to try to play this like the second coming of christ.

Lame, all around.
