Arizona TV Nostalgia

So I just caught this while looking at the Orange Bowl Parade on 12/31/81. Sorry for my inability to clip this, but if you fast forward to the 54 minute mark, you will see former local anchor June Thomson in her regal splendor as that year's Orange Bowl Queen. More importantly, to football fans...#1.Clemson won the National Title the next night, 22-15 over #4 Nebraska.

A 1996 edition of Fast Break, KTVK's mini newscast that aired during Suns games on KUTP (which, interestingly enough, was a competitor of KASW, operated by KTVK under an LMA, but I suppose this was essentially of a promo for KTVK's 10 p.m. news):

From Tucson, a 2023 side-by-side, shot-by-shot remake of a KOLD news promo from the 1970s:

Is that Lou Waters of CNN in the '70s clip? He used to work in Tucson and ended up retiring there.

A weekend KTSP newscast from October 1987, with the embattled Governor Evan Mecham's 60 Minutes appearance as the lead story:

A KTVK promo from 2003:

From 1999, an excerpt from the first incarnation of KTVK's the NewShow (which would go from a very entertainment-oriented newscast, with live reports from Valley nightclubs and the like, back to a more traditional 10 p.m. newscast in the early '00s):

In its entirety, a complete 6:30 p.m. KPHO newscast from 2006:

And a complete 10 p.m. KTVK newscast (late-night rebroadcast) from 1990:

A 1987 KTSP promo:
