KNAZ TV Flagstaff/Prescott and it's translator, K06AE-D atop Mingus Mtn
are, once again, telecasting in 16x9 High Definition. Over the past few years,
KNAZ has broadcast in less than stellar standard definition except for about
one or two weeks per year. KNAZ rebroadcasts the NBC Phoenix affiliate, KPNX.
How long the H.D. will last this time, is anybody's guess!

KNAZ Flagstaff Audio Levels

With KNAZ telecasting, however long, in High Definition, I've been watching much more NBC and KPNX programming. The audio levels
fluctuate widely and frequently during programming. NBC Nightly News comes in loud and the commercials are either muted or
blasting. KPNX inserts vary widely as well. Wondering if this unique to KNAZ or does KPNX also have this issue???

KPHE will temporarily lose the most interesting part of its program lineup starting tomorrow. Sonora's Telemax is shutting off all of its repeaters except the Hermosillo flagship station (that's some 58 television transmitters) in order to do major technical maintenance related to their move to high definition, and their announcement says that they will be off air in the US as well.

Right now they're carrying a Telemax program with a very amateurish 44 in the screen lower right. They appear to have returned to this older logo.
