Also KUTP just rebranded as "My 45" on the air.
"My 45"?I like "Phoenix 45". Makes it local, more immediate and not some brand pulled from the FOX 'guidebook'....just my opinion."My 45" reminds me of a Jackson Browne song, from The Pretender, Daddys Song "make room for my 45's along beside your 78's". Maybe not the thought of promoting "70's Show" and "Malcolm". "My 45" seems generic and empty.I'll give it 6 months (being liberal) and a change of brand will happen.

> "My 45" seems generic and empty.Doesn't that qualify as truth in advertising? "My 45" *will* most likely be generic and empty...

"My 45" is loaded. Oh wait, that's "My .45".Since 45 isn't Universal Television anymore (KUTP - Universal Television Phoenix), maybe they should switch their calls to KOLT-TV (currently not in use) and rebrand as KOLT 45. Then again, maybe not. (Would they want the inevitable malt liquor tie-ins?)

It was actually "UNITED Television Phoenix" (the original partner with Paramount in UPN)

"PHX45" seems more pliable in the market as opposed to a simple "My 45".Hindsight tells me the Jackson Browne ref was reaching. The six month limit still applies, though. The brand will change..

The branding wasn't optional. This is something the FOX-owned O&Os that are carrying the new MyNetwork TV this fall are doing...the individual stations will be "My(Channel number here)".---Michael Hagerty
