Arizona TV Station Update - May 2026

New Licenses
  • K07OJ-D 10.x Snowflake (NW Communications of Phoenix Inc.) requested and has been granted a license to cover its construction permit to move to a UHF station. Its new call sign is K36QP-D. Technical specifications: Ch 36; TL 34° 12' 22" N, 109° 56' 34" W (Porter Mtn.); ERP 1.2 kW HP 0.75° EBT; HAAT 270 m / 886 ft.
  • K10RX-D 9.x Las Vegas NV (KCSG-TV LLC) requested and has been granted a license to cover its move to Black Mtn. and change in signal source to KBWT Tonopah NV. Technical specifications: Ch 10; TL 36° 0" 34' N, 115° 0' 23" W (Black Mtn.); ERP 3 kW H / Unknown V; HAAT 335 m / 1,099 ft.
Programming Changes
  • KTAZ 39.x (29) Phoenix (NBC Telemundo License LLC) has replaced Nosey on channel 39.6 with a second feed of Cozi TV.
  • KUTP 45.x (26) Phoenix (Fox Television Stations LLC) is not sending out any programming on its NextGen signal on channel 45.1 (RF 27). Fox 10+ programming is still seen on its ATSC 1.0 signal.
  • KFPB-LD 31.x (30) Phoenix (Globe LPTV LLC) has replaced Retro TV on channel 31.4 and Heartland on channel 31.5 with For Lease slides.
  • KDVD-LD 50.x (25) Phoenix (Globe LPTV LLC) has replaced Nuestra Visión on channel 50.1 with MegaNoticias MX.
  • K04SE-D (K11XV-D) Phoenix (Sunshine TV LLC) has filed a resumption of operations on their STA RF channel 11, just before reaching 12 months without broadcasting, but I have not been able to decode a signal. Regular contributor Powergate92 reports the same thing.
  • K06QW-D (K09AAH-D) Phoenix (Sunshine TV LLC) has filed a resumption of operations on their STA RF channel 9, just before reaching 12 months without broadcasting, but I have not been able to decode a signal. Regular contributor Powergate92 reports the same thing.
  • KUEN 9.x Salt Lake City (University of Utah) has changed to the following lineup: 9.1 PBS Kids, 9.3 FNX, 9.4 NHK. There is no channel 9.2. KUEN translators viewable in Arizona:
    • K17JK-D Cane Beds AZ / Hildale UT
    • K30PD-D Kanab UT
    • K19LV-D St. George UT
    • K29OJ-D Washington UT
Call Sign Changes
  • K07OJ-D 10.x Snowflake (NW Communications of Phoenix Inc.) has changed its call sign to K36QP-D after moving to UHF channel 36.
Construction Permits and Special Temporary Authorizations (STAs) Granted
  • K25QW-D Lake Havasu (Lowcountry 34 Media LLC) has been granted a construction permit to move the station to a cell tower in Mohave Valley, approximately 25 miles to the north. Technical specifications: Ch 25; TL 34° 53' 58" N, 114° 35' 51" W (AZ 95 & Magellan Dr.); ERP 15 kW DA HP; HAAT 31 m / 102 ft AGL.
  • K36QP-D 10.x (K07OJ-D) Snowflake (NW Communications of Phoenix Inc.) requested and was granted a modification to its construction permit to move to a UHF station. The station is changing its broadcast antenna from the one described in the major modification construction permit. Technical specifications: Ch 36; TL 34° 12' 22" N, 109° 56' 34" W (Porter Mtn.); ERP 1.2 kW HP 0.75° EBT; HAAT 270 m / 886 ft.
  • K10RX-D 9.x Las Vegas NV (KCSG-TV LLC) requested and was granted a construction permit to move from its location within Henderson NV to an antenna on Black Mtn., and to change its signal source from KCSG Cedar City UT to KBWT Tonopah NV. Technical specifications: Ch 10; TL 36° 0" 34' N, 115° 0' 23" W (Black Mtn.); ERP 3 kW H / Unknown V; HAAT 335 m / 1,099 ft.
Construction Permits and Special Temporary Authorizations (STAs) Requested
  • KUVE-DT 46.x (34) Green Valley (Univision Tucson LLC) has requested an Engineering STA to operate at reduced power due to failed transmitter components. The station plans to have a replacement transmitter installed by July 31, but until then, will be operating at less than the licensed power of 185 kW.
  • The TV-49 Inc. application for a new television station on channel 17 in Prescott has been given the call sign K17PR-D.
  • The TV-49 Inc. application for a new television station on channel 23 in Flagstaff has been given the call sign K23QE-D.
  • The TV-49 Inc. application for a new television station on channel 27 in St. George UT has been given the call sign K27PV-D.
Rule Making Requested
  • KMYU 9.x St. George UT (KUTV LLC) has filed a rule making request, asking the FCC to reinstate channel 9 in lieu of channel 21 in the Table of Allotments for St. George UT. Its application to move to channel 21, filed in July 2021, was never granted by the FCC.
Expired, Expiring, Dismissed, Canceled and Withdrawn
  • Fair Play 4U LLC has withdrawn, and the FCC has dismissed, its application for a new LPTV station in Henderson NV on VHF channel 8.

The FCC has renewed the license of the following station through October 1, 2030:
