Arizona TV Station Update - November 2014

As always, questions, additions, comments and corrections welcome.

Programming changes

  • KTVP-LD 22.x Phoenix (Mako Communications, LLC) replaced the duplicate GNTV Latino broadcast on channel 22.4, first with a promotional loop for the Rev'n Automotive Network, then with the Impact Television Network, a Russian-language Christian network out of Sacramento CA, and finally with programming from Rev'n. KTVP has also replaced the black screen and ShopNow description with Jewelry TV, a duplicate of what Daystar offers on their secondary subchannel.
  • KEGS-LD 30.x (24) Las Vegas NV (Mako Communications, LLC) is added the Rev'n Automotive Network, placing it on channel 30.4.

Transactions

  • KLAS-TV 8.x (7) Las Vegas NV (KLAS LLC) has been sold by Landmark Television LLC to Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc., contingent upon FCC approval.

Construction permits and STAs granted

  • K32LO-D Prescott (Luke Skelton) has been granted a displacement construction permit to change channels and to move transmitter location, reducing power to conform to the new site's power restrictions. The station has already been operating with the new parameters per STA. Technical specifications: Ch 32; TL 34-29-25 N, 112-31-57 W (Mt. Francis); ERP 1.2 kW directional; HAAT 190 m.

Applications and STAs requested

  • K49HP Camp Verde (The Camp Verde TV Club) has filed an application for Silent STA due to equipment failure.

Canceled, Dismissed, Expired or Expiring

  • The original construction permit for K30MM-D Gila River Indian Co (Gila River Telecommunications, Inc.) expires December 13.
  • The original construction permit for K48NJ-D Needles CA (Tri-State Christian Radio) expires December 13.

License Renewals

  • KMOH-TV 6.x (19) Kingman (Hero Licenseco LLC) has been granted its license renewal. The license is now effective through October 1, 2022.
  • KNAZ-TV 2.x (22) Flagstaff (Multimedia Holdings Corporation) has been granted its license renewal. The license is now effective through October 1, 2022.
  • KEJR-LD 40.x Phoenix (Hero Licenseco LLC) has been granted its license renewal. The license is now effective through October 1, 2022.
  • K43GQ-D Klagetoh (KOB-TV, LLC) has been granted its license renewal. The license is now effective through October 1, 2022.
  • K49ET Many Farms (KOB-TV, LLC) has been granted its license renewals for both 2006 and 2014. The license is now effective through October 1, 2022.
  • KPNX 12.x Mesa (Multimedia Holdings Corporation) has amended its license renewal application to add issues and program lists from 2006 and 2007 that had been inadvertently omitted from the online public file.
  • KHMP-LD 18.x Las Vegas (Hilltop Church) has been granted its license renewal. The license is now effective through October 1, 2022.

Programming changes

  • K25DM Phoenix (Mako Communications LLC) is back on the air in digital, this time broadcasting on RF channel 18 with virtual channel 25.1 from the South Mountain antenna farm, having moved from Shaw Butte. There is no programming as of yet; only color bars. The short descriptor indicates GNTV, but that is probably because GNTV occupies channel 22.1 on Mako's KTVP-LD.

K30JD-D (KPHO CBS 5) translator, atop Mt Francis in Prescott
is off the air. The translator has been on/off lately and it looks
like that will continue for the foreseeable future.
