  • KUDF-LD 14.x Tucson (LM Media Group Inc.) has moved GNTV Latino to channel 14.6, replacing it on channel 14.3 with LATV.

Construction Permits, Tolling, and Special Temporary Authorizations (STAs) Granted
  • KPNX 12.x (18) Mesa (Multimedia Holdings Corporation) requested and has been granted a construction permit for a new auxiliary antenna, to be co-located with its primary antenna. Construction Permits, Tolling, and STAs Requested
  • KYUM-LD 15.s Yuma (Centro Cristiana Vida Abundante Inc.) has requested an STA to build temporary facilities at Fisher Wireless Services while it finds a way to get a better, more consistent service at its Gila Mountains transmission site. The station is requesting much lower power so as not to interfere with co-channel XHMEE-TDT 38.x in Mexicali, BCN. Technical specifications: Ch 15; TL 32° 41' 14" N, 114° 35' 26" W (Fisher Wireless); ERP 0.3 kW DA HP 0.5° EBT; HAAT 37 m / 121 Ft.
  • K20ID-D 7.x Kingman (KAZT LLC) has requested a modification to its license, moving its broadcast antenna from Hualapai Peak to Hayden Peak, resulting in a slightly lower height, but increasing power. Technical specifications: Ch 20; TL 35° 4' 53" N, 113° 54' 17" W (Hayden Peak); ERP 0.395 kW DA HP 1.75° EBT; HAAT 1082 m / 3549 ft.
  • K42IQ-D (K21ON-D) Flagstaff (Edge Spectrum Inc.) has requested further tolling of its Legal STA and STA Amendment until March 6, 2023, citing delays in permitting.

Expired, Expiring, Canceled and Dismissed
  • KYUM-LD 15.x Yuma (Centro Cristiana Vida Abundante Inc.) has withdrawn its May 2022 license modification request to change transmission location and to increase power, due to objection from Mexican authorities over potential interference to co-channel XHMEE 38.x Mexicali BCN.
  • The FCC has canceled the amended displacement application of K12XU-D Yuma.
  • The FCC has canceled the request to extend the CP of K40NW-D (K12XU-D) Yuma.

Requests for Rulemaking
  • Gray Television Licensee LLC has requested a rulemaking to substitute UHF channel 27 for VHF channel 11 in the Table of Allotments for Yuma, with the intent of building on channel 27 instead. The existing application calls for a 5 kW VHF station; the proposed rulemaking would allow up to 100 kW for a UHF station.

Notices
  • KUVE-DT 46.x (34) Green Valley (Univision Tucson LLC) has filed a reduced power notification due to equipment failure. New parts have been ordered but it is doubtful that the station will receive and be able to install them within 10 business days, so it is likely that they will need to file an STA for operations at reduced power when the 10 business days are up.

The Mormon Mtn transmitting site, about 20 miles south of Flagstaff has been undergoing
work on cellular towers, I understand. Transmitters at that location were operating at reduced
power for a time to allow for safety. KNAZ Tv is continuing to operate at reduced power.
 
With the prolonged, typhoon like winds we had in Northern Arizona, several
Tv and Radio stations are either off the air or having difficulties. KNAZ Tv
is one of them.

I noticed you guys up north had sustained winds of 65+ yesterday and, as our weather guesser said, "that doesn't count the gusts".

Nothing of note down here in the flatlands. Light sprinkles most of the afternoon.
 
Once again, Radio and Television transmissions from Mingus Mtn have been
interrupted, probably due to a power outage. KAZT tv, KKLD radio are amongst
the many others that have been off the air since Wednesday.
 
Thanks Prescott Joe...I'm well, but was busy beyond belief. I haven't even had time to read this forum until now. Things are starting to slow down, so I hope to have an update later this month. Lots to report on in the TV world - I just wish I could get time to travel outside the Phoenix metro.

I have a new TV at home after 15 years, and it's a Sony, so now I have a NextGen tuner. KGRY-LD is supposed to air BYU TV in the clear, but I can't get anything. Bought a new Win11 laptop to replace the 2005 Win7, but I can't get my TV tuner software to install on it, so I may need to keep the old Win7 around for that.

That is exactly why I'm still running Win 7 as well. That, and I have a fairly expensive custom built desktop which would be costly to recreate for Win 11. Just not worth it yet.
