Programming Changes
  • KTVW-DT 33.x Phoenix (KTVW License Partnership GP) has added Confess by Nosey to its programming lineup on channel 33.4.
  • K12XP-D 22.x Phoenix (HC2 Station Group Inc.) has replaced infomercials on channel 22.4 with NTD (New Tang Dynasty) Television.
Network Changes
  • E.W. Scripps has announced that it would shut down the Scripps News diginet November 15. Scripps News is seen in Arizona on KPPX-TV 51.4 Phoenix, KGUN 9.6 Tucson, KBFY-LD 41.2 Fortuna (Yuma) and KMCC 34.4 Laughlin NV / Las Vegas NV. All but the Yuma station are owned or operated by Scripps.
Construction Permits and STAs Granted
  • KBFY-LD 41.x (2) Fortuna (KBFY LLC) has been granted a construction permit to allow it to change from a low-VHF channel to UHF channel 20, to change from horizontal to circular polarization, and to employ a custom directional antenna with a deep null at 280° azimuth. Technical specifications: Ch 20; TL 33° 3' 2" N, 114° 49' 41" W (Black Mtn.); ERP 15 kW CP; HAAT 384 m / 1,260 ft.
  • K03FB-D 8.x Snowflake (Arizona Board of Regents for ASU) has been granted a construction permit to allow it to change from a low-VHF channel to a UHF channel and to move to an adjacent tower at the same site. When licensed, its new call sign will be K35PR-D. Technical specifications: Ch 35; TL 34° 12' 22" N, 109° 56' 34" W (Porter Mtn.); ERP 1.2 kW HP 0.75° EBT; HAAT 262 m / 859 ft.
  • K04QP-D Casas Adobes (Tucson TV License Company LLC) has been granted a construction permit to allow it to change from a low-VHF channel to a UHF channel and to maximize power. When licensed, its new call sign will be K17PF-D. Technical specifications: Ch 17; TL 32° 14' 57" N, 111° 7' 0" W (Tucson Mtns.); ERP 15 kW H EP DA 0.75° EBT; HAAT 606 m / 1,988 ft.
  • K04SE-D Parker (Lowcountry 34 Media LLC) has been granted a minor modification to its construction permit to move to a site in Tonopah, and to maximize power. The proposed broadcast site appears to be atop a structure at a tire shop located near the intersection of Indian School Rd. and 411th Ave. Technical specifications: Ch 4; TL 33° 29' 35" N, 112° 56' 16" W (Near cor. Indian School Rd. & 411th Ave.); ERP 3 kW DA HP; HAAT -20 m / -66 ft (AGL 9 m / 30 ft).
  • K07OJ-D 10.x Snowflake (NW Communications of Phoenix Inc.) has been granted a construction permit to allow it to change from a high-VHF channel to a UHF channel and to move to an adjacent tower at the same site. When licensed, its new call sign will be K36QP-D. Technical specifications: Ch 36; TL 34° 12' 22" N, 109° 56' 34" W (Porter Mtn.); ERP 1.2 kW HP 0.75° EBT; HAAT 270 m / 886 ft.
  • K08QN-D Golden Valley (Bridge News LLC) has been granted a construction permit to allow it to change from a high-VHF channel to a UHF channel and to move to the Hayden Peak electronics site outside of Kingman. The new site should serve Kingman, plus the western part of Golden Valley. When licensed, its new call sign will be K24OP-D. Technical specifications: Ch 24; TL 35° 4' 53" N, 113° 54' 17" W (Hayden Pk); ERP 1.45 kW H EP DA 0.9° EBT; HAAT 1,091 m / 3,578 ft.
  • K10RW-D Lake Havasu (Lowcountry 34 Media LLC) has been granted a construction permit to allow it to change from a high-VHF channel to a UHF channel, to move to a taller tower about five miles north, and to maximize power. When licensed, its new call sign will be K25QW-D. Technical specifications: Ch 25; TL 34° 33' 26" N, 114° 25' 29" W (5 mi. N of Havasu Lake CA); ERP 15 kW HP DA; HAAT -132 m / -433 ft (AGL 20 m / 66 ft).
  • KSNV 3.x (22) Las Vegas NV (KUPN Licensee LLC) requested and has been granted an Experimental STA to run tests in a full-power ATSC 3.0 (Nextgen) facility with Hyundai AutoEver America. The proposed technical specifications are identical to those used in past years. Although the facility is projected to cause 18.5% interference to station K33MJ-D Pahrump, that station is co-owned with KSNV and agrees to accept the additional interference. The STA is valid through November 17. Technical specifications: Ch 33; TL 36° 0' 27" N, 115° 0' 27" W (Black Mtn.); ERP 42 kW H / Unknown V DA EP 1.05° EBT; HAAT 374 m (1,227 ft).
  • KLVX 10.x (11) Las Vegas NV (Clark County School District) was granted an extension of its STA to operate at approx. 70% power due to a failing transmitter. Restoration of full power operations is expected by late November.
  • K27MQ-D St. George UT (KCSG-TV LLC) has been granted a construction permit to allow it to change from a UHF channel to a high-VHF channel, to move to a communications tower near Bunkerville NV and to change its community of license to Arrowhead NV, near Moapa NV. When licensed, its new call sign will be K10RX-D. Technical specifications: Ch 10; TL 36° 46' 18" N, 114° 6' 5" W (Bunkerville NV); ERP 3 kW HP DA; HAAT -127 m / -416 ft (AGL 79 m / 259 ft).
Construction Permits and STAs Requested
  • K30GL-D Many Farms (Nexstar Media Inc.) has requested an STA to operate at approx. 50% power due to transmitter power issues.
Expired, Expiring, Canceled and Dismissed
  • KDOS-LD 50.x (19) Globe (KTVW License Partnership GP) has withdrawn its Engineering STA request. The station has returned to operations as licensed, so the STA is no longer necessary.
Notices
  • K18NN-D 16.x Globe (Unimas Partnership of Phoenix) has filed a notification of resumption of operations. It is confirmed that the station is on air rebroadcasting KTVW-DT 33.x Phoenix.
