If you all want to know the one major obstacle that keeps Whjj down, it's Arlene Violet.
Some days she's fine, others she's a son of a Bit-h. She really does call the shots at Whjj.
Jim Corwin the General Manager backs her on everything, but working with her brings everyone
down. Arlene has had 3 producers in the last year. Treating them all badly, very poorly.
She took a fit , when Savage came to Whjj. She LOVED Randy Rhodes. She loved Air America.
Sadly,Arlene has a 3 year contract. That means for the next 3 years Arlene will continue to interfere
with much at Whjj. Corwin and Violet should be made to leave.
When that happens, and only then, will Whjj be able to BEAT Wpro.
By the way Arlene Vicious is her nick name.

What the hell Are you talking about? Everyone I know who works there or knows her personally says she is a sweet lady.As for Arlene liking Air America, I could her her eyes roll when listeners would ask what was going on with the format.
As to call Arlene a nun, former Attorney General and retired lawyer vicous is way out of hand. I'm sure you and everyone in Providence Radio would love to have 1/4 of her resume'. If she annoys you and I am sure she does from time to time but then again who doesnt piss you off at least once a day. I get agravated with at least one person a day. I brush it off and move on.

So in retrospect if you have a better resume than her's then you can talk trash and put her down. If you don't then "SHUT UP!." She is not just a radio talk show host she has a lot more behind her.

By the way, when are you on the air.

I wouldn't miss Arlene if she fell off the planet tomorrow. I've honestly never seen the appeal. I hear her and I change the station. I'm simply not a fan.

I've known many people who have worked for her. She's a terror. Sweet as pie on the outside, then will write you an e-mail telling you why you're an a$%hole. Very passive-aggressive.

And I hear that she's none to pleased that Helen Glover got the AP nod for talk show of the year and she didn't.

Sounds like a wacky Broad to me. Not mentally stable according to the stories I'm hearing. The station would be better off without her and that bad accent that I can't stand. Sally Jessy Rapheal was a thousand times better than Arlene. At least Sally got me to turn on the Radio.

The posts ( exception Kenwood) have been very telling about one Arlene V.
This is the great challenge to WHJJ, what to do about a totally controling Arlene , who
prevents a total house cleaning?
So far, WHJJ has as was said, COME BACK FROM THE GRAVE!
There is still much that needs doing.
If Arlene wants to be a P.D. or a G.M , then she should apply for the job.
She is a talk show host. She is also a VERY loose cannon.

Hi Chatty. The funny thing is that I didn't get the name from "Terminator". I was looking for a hightech sounding name. Something that reflected the internet. I always envisioned internet signals traveling through the "SKY" at the speed of sound. The "NET" part comes from the word "Internet". So I combined the two words and came up with "Skynet". The 74 was my apartment Number when I came up with the name "Skynet". So there you go. That's the long boring story behind My User name.

Anyone who doubts that Arlene Violet has a controlling and nasty side doesn't listen to her show. It's the world according to Arlene and she's completely intolerant (to the point of talking over people) of opposing points of view.
