Armada Media is sinking.

jsonline.com on Friday says, Armada Media which owns a few clusters of
radio stations is in default in payments and other terms to Wells-Fargo-Foothill.

apparently owes over $15 mil+ and hasn't made a payment in over four months.

Gov. Tommy G. Thompson is 3% owner and CEO used to run a cluster in Fond du Lac.

...a Jim Coursolle-founded company becoming an eight-figure deadbeat outfit? Pshaw ;D ...

Interesting indeed...Given today's economy, not at all surprised. With this said, I wouldn't piss on Chris Bernier if he were on fire. In searching the fcc, it's interesting to see that Armada has made several changes and created layers to try and protect the principles.

If you check out Armada Marinette/Menominee, their web site is now showing Bernier as the GM - I know he's had at least two GM's since the start of Armada in Marinette/Menominee. My only hope is that all the positions of those at all the stations they have taken over will be protected, and specifically, the positions of those in Marinette/Menominee - I know them all and they have my deepest respect.

...when I worked for Coursolle at WPKR, he had one of those goofy "We Refuse To Participate In Any Recession" signs standing on the front counter in the lobby. Wonder how that's working out for him now ;D ...
