Army-Navy Exec Order

My Grandfather was a little short by and inch or two to be drafted but he managed to join the Army. He drove an ammunition truck in WW1.

I bet Barron could get a waiver. FDR's sons served in WW2.

So what can the other stations and networks air during that time slot? Anything but other college football games? Or is counterprogramming with hockey, basketball, figure skating or other sports programming also forbidden?
Just not other college football games. With the potential expansion of the CFP, there has been a concern by fans of the game that it could lose the exclusive Saturday it has had for decades which is traditionally on the Saturday following conference championship games but prior to the beginning of Bowl Games. The EO will, at a minimum, force strategies to maintain the A/N games promience on that weekend as CFP does consider expansion. The CFP might choose to occupy a Friday night instead.

Have to wonder what other Executive Orders will be issued next re: sporting events and television viewing preferences. Start baseball All Star Game at 7 pm ET? Only allow March Madness be played in March and not possibly extend into April? Broadcast all Olympic coverage where Team USA or an American is competing live and not time delayed??

Once again, executive orders only apply to the executive branch. He can't use them to order MLB or the NCAA to do anything. It's all intimidation.

In this case, he ordered his commerce secretary and FCC chairman to schedule meetings. That's really it.

Trump directed the commerce secretary and FCC chairperson to coordinate with the CFP committee, the NCAA and media rights partners to ensure an exclusive broadcasting window for the storied rivalry traditionally played the second Saturday each December.

It was written in such a way that it really has no meaning at all. He's just inserting himself in an area where he has no jurisdiction. Other than to attend the game, which he does at his own choice.

depends on what games he can get on TV at, probably not the NBA since that isn't really the MAGA demographic outside of maybe Pacers, Jazz, and Thunder fans
