Around in the world in 80 seconds

Every night, this segment airs on the Fox 18 (KLJB) news...How many other stations also air Around The World In 80 Seconds?

FOX News' Shepard Smith also anchors a similar segment at the end of every night's "FOX Report." Perhaps that's what might have inspired FOX TV stations to do their own thing.

Well, then, that explains it! Is it a separate report for the FOX TV stations, or is a complete cut-and-paste from FOX News?

All Fox stations with a news team.

Never seen it here in Phoenix; then again, we ARE a major market O&O of theirs.

And Fox 10 in Phoenix has a full news team, which produces hours and hours and hours of "news" each day. So, they have no need to go "around the world in 80 seconds". Fox 10 can spend 15 minutes on world news, if they choose to.

(the most news in AZ, in fact IIRC). Well, they do have a two-minute "World Flash" in the second half-hour of their 9pm news anyways.

This must be for the benefit of small outlets, typically produced by a Big 3, to have some Fox connection.

Last time I calculated, I thought KTVK won by 30 minutes a week (but my math may be wrong). That being said, I agree that smaller markets may need more "filler' material, while larger affiliates probably have enough material. Heck, Fox 10 could fill its whole 9pm newscasts with "excerpts" from the 5.5 hours AZAM morning program. :D
