Around the dial

A couple moves/changes I've noticed on the dial in the last couple of weeks....Evan Boyer goes from morning show producer to md/nights at Country 92.5 & sounds pretty good.. Good for him, bad for me..I wanted that gig in the worst way!..Rachael Foxx no longer doing mornings on 98Q. Don't see her on the website anywhere either...Moved on to another gig?...After many weeks and many ads on Allaccess, Scott McDonnell slides into middays at 98Q..That surprises me for a couple reasons..First, he's a very strong afternoon talent, why waste him on middays? Second, middays are usually filled by females...And guessing by their ad on allaccess where "FEMALES ENCOURAGED TO APPLY" screamed out, they really wanted one.I'm surprised they couldn't scrape one up...What happens now in afternoons?.. I see where Caveman resigned his position at I-95 in Savannah to come back to Ct. and take care of his father...Hopefully he can find a gig in the area, and more importantly his father stays in good health...Finally, does Damon Scott do the best afternoon "show" in Ct. or what? You may not like him or the music on TIC but you have to admit he puts on a real show...Puts a lot of effort into it and it shows...

About the 98Q ad.. I wondered myself why the kept advertising it.

Were thjey seirously not getting any qualified applicants.. or were they looking for too much?

Thanks Jordan, I appreciate it. For the record, I'm done with radio...it's just not possible to make the kind of living I desire and I'm not willing to move away from the people I care about.

Rachael was let go from 98Q. They keep advertising the position because nobody wants to work there. Caveman... welcome home. Get in touch!

Was she really let go, or was it "Mister Morning's" ego that pushed her out, since there's not enough room in the studio with him in there? Seriously, I've known a few people who have worked there and someone who is still there and I'm surprised that anybody stays from the stories I hear.

Just another reason why I decided that part-time was enough and engineering was better! Nobody argues when the station is off the air and you're the only one who knows where to put your screwdriver to fix it!
