Arrakis 12,000 series...

program output is fine. all inputs are fine.

output on aud and utl are both ~2db low on the right channel. I have some manuals on it but there is no mention of where to adjust for this just a brief mention of trim pots for meter drivers and outputs. the output module has a row of pots with no markings and nothing in the manual to show which ones are for what.

Anyone here know?

true.. but paper copy I have is less complete than the pdf available online... I don't guess I've mentioned my hatred for this console? especially those funky molex connectors that are used for all the audio lines - constantly cleaning pins to keep good contact.... This installation is somewhere around 10-12 years old now...

Which makes de-installation about 10-12 years past due.

Agreed. However, this operator is not going to spend a single cent as long as something resembling audio passes through this pos.....

Another facility I take care of has a lpb dynamax in one studio and audioarts air3 in the other. Love them both. Support for the dynamax from sandies usa is the best I have ever dealt with.

Arrakis though if they put out a concsole that resembled a PR&E BMX series it would fool many and it seems it did for a short time.

Someone forgot to tell Arraksheite that the type of molex pins is critical to the reliablity of them. Not all "Molex" connectors are equal...

LOL! You really want to mention that here --- *cue arrkacrap discussion thread* :)

Refer to my earlier thread reply about the Top Ten things to do with your Arrakashit, with apologies to Dave Letterman. Choose your favorite.

I would love to set it on fire and roll it down a hill...but I must fix the turd.... oh well, bigger things going on right now, station's STL decided it was done passing audio tonight...
