ARROW JAZZ FM

A couple weeks ago on Shoutcast Radio, I discovered the Dutch CJ station, "Arrow Jazz FM." It is essentially jockless, but the mix is tight, and not tiring. I would guess that they play 700 songs in their rotation, but all are well-researched. The mix includes R&B, Motown, funk, urban AC, and a dose of tasty Dutch jazz (do a search for Bruut! Sly and Giovanca on Youtube, you'll love the material.) One sample hour had Frank Sinatra's "Come Fly with Me," Acoustic Alchemy, and Jose James, and Bruut playing some modern bop. And it all worked! The best part-- NO KENNY G! I think the run a hot 100 that rotates through the hours to keep better-known tracks in the forefront.

Try it out: www.arrow.nl The 64 kbps AAC+ shoutcast feed (for Winamp) is http://81.173.3.133:80 The processing is just as warm, European style.
