Art Franklin just announced at the end of tonight's 10PM newscast that it was his final newscast. He's stepping away from news to focus on his books/films/etc.

Art Franklin leaving WAGA

He is the next in the long line of others in Atlanta (Doug Reynolds, Blair Meeks, Flip Spiceland, Clarence Reynolds) to leave TV news behind. Art was with sister Fox O&O WBRC in nearby Birmingham before coming to Atlanta, and did a couple of months at WXIA before joining WAGA fulltime.
I hope his next chapter in his life is successful. I wish him the best of luck in his endevors.
