Art Lake

Weatherman, I think. Sorry, I live in central Connecticut, but did pick them up a couple of times before the DT signed on for WTNH (on channel 10).
 
He did weather but was essentially the 'voice of the station' since there was a WJAR, starting at the Big O in the late '40's.
 
Art Lake was one of those "old school" jack-of-all-trades type guys. He anchored the news originally and, then, did the weather for 40+ years. He literally had been at WJAR for 60 years. He had been the am and noon weatherman for 15 years until he had a stroke a few years ago. He came back briefly to do taped birthday segments, but is sadly now in a nursing home.
