Geoff Fox does an excellent job, has done it for 26 years and has high name recognition.

WTNH has now told Geoff not to return to the air and see out the rest of his contract. According to reports in the New Haven Register and Hartford Courant, the uproar over his departure is seen as a "distraction."

Channel 8 management has now eliminated the one reason I, for one, will watch their news. Class act guys!

The Hartford Courant has article today about the "Keep Geoff Fox" Facebook page that now has 10,000 friends. The Courant mentions the social media response is a public relations problem for News 8.

If this was happening to another station say WFSB wasn't renewing Bruce DePriest's contract would we see people say they wouldn't watch Eyewitness News? Just courius. I think so because their the #1 in the market where as WTNH isn't and people will still miss Geoff Fox.
