Artie Lang AWOL from Stern?

Unless it's been a put-on, sidekick comic Artie Lang has been off the Stern show without giving an explanation. He is reportedly working on a low budget film somewhere. Howard doesn't seem pleased: he doesn't like open-ended leaves of absense, but he seems cautious about slaming Lang. However it was clear, if Howard is working he expects all to be there. Might Lang be putting an '06 job with Sirius at risk--stay tuned?

Nah I think even Howard is smart eenough to know that Artie saved that show, it was dead for a while until he got there and re energized it. Howard sounds old these days no doubt but Artie brought a new spark to it. I dont think he's working on that low budget film now though I dont think that was supposed to happen until August. In short Howard's not stupid, he's not letting Artie go, Artie is not Jackie. Plus the sirius deal is such that he's only working four days and has ten weeks vacation, he's going to need to really provide something new and different than what he has been doing for all these years otherwise those paying to hear it wont stay, especially since he's only working four days, wait till that becomes public knowledge and everyone who signs up finds out that one day a week will be best of that people complain about NOW.

No, no not yet,......I was talking about his Sirius deal. He will only work four days, and he will have ten weeks vacation. So you dont have to worry about it until January.
